FAQ

Where are your classes located?
We are conveniently located off Stadium Dr in Kansas City, MO. The shooting range is a short drive away. Specific details on address and suite number will be given closer to your class date when you sign up.

What time does class start?
Depends on what day your class is on. Weekday classes are TWO DAY courses starting promptly at 6:00 PM and ending at 9:30 PM. Saturday sessions start at 9:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM. Sunday sessions start at 8:30 AM and end at 4:30 PM.

What equipment do I need?
You will get a confirmation email with a supply list for that particular class. That being said, all classes will require a hat, hearing and eye protection, and ammunition if you didn’t rent a gun from us.

I want to get some training. Do I need to have any prior experience or prerequisite classes?
There are some classes which require a previous class with me or proof of equivalent experience (i.e. certification or class with another trainer). Everyone learns at a different pace and the one true requirement is that you are able to listen and follow directions as they are given. Certain classes require basic knowledge such as how to be safe and efficient with your firearm (loading, unloading, aiming, firing). For a concealed carry class, even if you have never fired a gun before, you will not be left to “fend for yourself” as we will be by your side to guide you safely through obtaining the skills your need to succeed and qualify. Think SAFETY.

I’ve shot a gun before; do I really need formal training?
Having shot a gun before does not make you immune to problems. I’ve spent countless hours with experienced shooters who ALWAYS have something to improve. Time is everything in a gun fight. If you could learn something to save you half a second, you could save your life one day. That’s no joke. Ask me to explain if you don’t believe me. Pride has no place in a gun fight. Another thing to know is shooting will always be a perishing skill, so you better be keeping up on it. Training will show you what you may have accidentally overlooked. We have something to offer every person regardless of experience.

I have several guns, which one should I bring to class?
Bring what you will use when you will be defending yourself. If you aren’t decided and want to bring some different ones, feel free to bring multiple so you can figure out what you do want to use.

But I don’t have a gun; can I still take a class?
Yes. We rent firearms (ammo provided for rentals). After the class, you will have a much better understanding of what to look for in a defensive firearm. If you do not currently own one please come and take a class first. You will walk into your local gun shop with plenty of knowledge for a solid purchase.

Do you train the physically impaired?
I would be honored to help anyone learn how to defend themselves. Please email me specifically so I know how to accommodate any specific needs! If you need wheelchair access please let me know in advance. You can reach us at: info@365carry.com

What type of physical condition should I be in to attend your classes?
If you are on prescription drugs which prevent use of heavy machinery or doctor’s orders to be on bed rest, please don’t take a class. Otherwise you will be fine. There are a few classes were you would need to be able to kneel, bend, or move at a fast pace, but we can always accommodate a particular issue (i.e. you just don’t complete a problematic drill). You need to be able to at least fire the gun though. (No intoxicated students either! Do I need to say that?)

What books do you recommend?
“The Principles of Personal Defense” by Jeff Cooper; “Deadly Force: Understanding Your Right to Self Defense” by Massad Ayoob and Jeff Weiner; “Stand Your Ground: The Biblical Foundation For Self-Defense” by Steve Jones, and others if you ask us.

How do I register?
You can view the course schedule on this website and click the date and location of the class that suits your needs.

How do I know if there are openings in a particular class?
If you can purchase a seat in the class then you will know there are openings. The registration is closed if no seats can be selected for that date.

What should I expect after I register?
The info you need is on the site. You will get a confirmation email when you purchase the training class. If you need further info contact us at info@365carry.com

Can I pay in full when I register?
This is required, so “Yes.”

What happens to my money if I cancel? What is your refund policy?
Please don’t sign up for a class unless you intend on taking it. There are no refunds. If you need to reschedule, we can make exceptions based on what type of emergency (i.e. Medical, Family). Email info@365carry.com if you need to reschedule a class and state the reason. We will confirm with you.

Can I buy a gift certificate?
Yes, e-mail info@365carry.com for more information on how to obtain them.

Where do classes meet?
The classroom address will be in an email which gets sent out to all participants closer to the class date. The range is a short travel away from the classroom. You will need transportation (or to car pool with someone) to get you there and back.

Can I get a Military, Police or other discount?
We do not have any standard discounts but if you have extenuating circumstances please contact us. Our training is less costly and more valuable than other schools so even at full price we are a good deal.

Do you rent firearms for concealed carry classes?
Yes. Our rental guns (.22 caliber) are $10/each and come with the required ammo.

I’m not yet 18/21. Can I train with Everyday Carry Firearms?
We have no real age restriction. The student must be responsible and if they are under 18 parental supervision may be required. Realize for Concealed Carry permit issues the state will not issue them under a certain age.

I’m in my 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s or 90’s. Can I still train with you?
If you own a gun for defense you need training. As long as you can be safe we want you to train with us.

Can I buy guns from you?
Not yet, we are working on obtaining an FFL (Federal Firearms License), but we know people who can get a good deal.

What languages are used in your classes?
English only. If your non-English speaking group of 8 or more wants to bring an interpreter you are welcome to organize a private training class. You will have to train separately from the English speaking students because the interpretations takes up valuable class time. Email info@365carry.com if you wish to set this up.

Are your courses “certified”?
Instructors are registered for being Concealed Carry Instructors with the States of Missouri and Kansas. Instructors hold NRA Certifications. Some have held a Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor certification. Classes are customized with all these certifications and knowledge from experiences personally and in Law Enforcement. Don’t worry you’ll enjoy them!

What if I didn’t find an answer to my question?
Many topics such as when do I use deadly force, what size gun should I get, and other specific questions will be discussed during class. If you need though, please feel free to E-mail: info@365carry.com
